We lost our way somewhere, You used to say "I love you", Honey, now you say, "I don't care". Cried so many tears on my pillow, Tried to work it out, I don't wanna fuss about. If this is love, I don't wanna be loved. If this is happiness, you can have that too. Cause you don't listen, and you just keep on thinkin' "I'm goin' to stay right here". But baby.. I don't want nothin', nothin'. Nothin' but my way back home. I don't want nothin', nothin'. Nothin' but my way back home. I don't want nothin', nothin'. Nothin' but my way back home. I don't want nothin', nothin'. I gotta find my way back home. Diamonds sparkle, now flowers bloom. I met my true love in a crowded room. I never thought it could happen to me, I'm blessed with love, for eternity. Life is more than what you see, Each day it brings a new possibility. You just wait and see, don't give up on love, Cause love will come. I don't want nothin', nothin'. Nothin' but my way back home. I don't want nothin', nothin'. Nothin' but my way back home. I don't want nothin', nothin'. Nothin' but my way back home. I don't want nothin', nothin'. I gotta find my way back home. He said he loved me, but didn't do me right. Then I met you, now I see the light. No tricks or games, no time to play, Your love for me, and I feel the same. No hesitations, we're standing here. We're so in love, this time for real! Mountains and rivers, and from across the sea, Your love came down, and it found me! True Love. True Love. I found true love, just like it's supposed to be. Found true love, you and me. I found true love, just like it's supposed to be. Found true love, just you and me.

Red Trane Green Trane Yellow Trane Blue Train your mind Train your fingers and train your soul too. Got to love whatcher doin Make love to the music Like Ella Fitzgerald And my oldest brother Louis. Armstrong Headstrong Lines long Pannin' from side to side Yeah they shot out like a cannon. So I listen back to Freddie Hubbard Then to Terence Blanchard. Saxophone Slide trombone Bass and keys be slammin. Jammin We be Jammin To get free. Bring it out Take it in Fight a bout Then again. Treat it gentle like a lady Lady bird, lady day Play a ballad for your lady Do it like your love makin'. Make it hot like hot house. Weave like charlie rouse Charlie Parker Charlie Mingus You know what the real thing is To make it sound like you're singin even when you're not. When your playin you don't wanna sound like a robot. Because there ain't a secret potion And there really ain't a secret Information ain't encoded It's on the record in the open x2 Dust off the mental mantle Bring in something fresh. Blow a line Take your time Work it out Like a line. Like a jivin' thing Like a Basie swing Like the one and only mother Duke Ellington. In a sentimental mood In a mellow tone Coltrane Western music with an eastern drone. I love Grant Green With the rolling guitar screams From the funk to the soul to the groove to the gospel. Got it all Standin tall Never fall Ahmad Jamal With the space and silence Independence Interplay with the band With the man Californ-i-a Dexter Gordon on the west coast baby. Back on the east got the mother lovin B - K. You got the Miles Day Got the 5-1-8 Jazz Messengers. Go and get your lad-ay Go and get your girl Because there ain't a secret potion And there really ain't a secret Information ain't encoded It's on the record in the open x2

Since it all began you changed this lonely man (and) you don't understand but girl I've got a plan So come over here , and let it be I know you're tired of chasing me you call me trouble And that's just what I am! Cuz' I'm bad, bad, bad, so bad Said I'm bad, bad, bad, so bad, so bad Yes I'm... Waitin' here for you and all you have to do is stay and love me true ('cause) I'd do it all for you So come over here, and set it free I know you're weary of chasing me you call it danger, and that's just what I am! Cause' I'm bad, bad, bad, so bad Said I'm bad, bad, bad, so bad, so bad Yes I'm....

The Chronicles Albany, New York

Combining jazz, HipHop, funk, soul, and gospel, The Chronicles bring a unique sound that defies classification. Albany’s alternative newsweekly, Metroland recognized them as "Best Jazz" in 2013, 2012, and in their 2011 “Best of the Capital Region” critic's poll as the best in live hip hop with “jazz chops out the yin yang, and new tunes at their fingertips every time they pick up their instruments ... more
